First airing on American television in the early 1950s, the western series THE ADVENTURES OF KIT CARSON followed the thrilling adventures of Kit Carson and his Mexican partner El Toro in their pursuit of justice and women. Bill Williams plays Kit Carson, while Don Diamond plays his goofy pal. During its run, the series fell into the same category as other TV westerns such as
Roy Rogers,
The Cisco Kid,
and
The Lone Ranger.

In this classic western, secret agent Randolph Scott plays the ever present good guy in search of the bad to rid the town of danger. His plans are to bring the Reno Brothers gang to justice once and for all. He goes undercover as a train robber in order to become a member of this infamous gang of crooks. Once inside, the situation takes an unexpected turn when he falls for their sister and takes a liking to Forrest Tucker, their leader. This classic Mexican Western (in Spanish) has enough tough, gun toting guys to fill a mine shaft. In the world of Mexican mining, only the richest and most powerful succeed, while the little guys labor intensively and then just barely get by. El Chinaco is something like the Robin Hood of the mining world. He single handedly restores the balance of power by stealing the wealth and goods from the mines and dispersing it equally to the impoverished people who deserve it. When someone dresses up like El Chinaco and commits murder, naturally the community rises up against him.
