Gene Autry stars in this B-western as an investigator who has himself put in jail in order to find a stolen army payroll. No sooner is he locked up than the prime suspect, Dave Weldon (Dick Jones) makes his escape. Intent on catching Weldon, Autry follows him to a medicine show run by Weldon's entire family.
