For a Few Dollars More (DVD) For a Few Dollars More (DVD) » For a Few Dollars More (DVD)

In the second film in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western trilogy (A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS being the first and THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY the last), the Man with No Name (Clint Eastwood) teams up with gunslinger Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) in order to extract reward money from Indio (Gian Maria Volonte), a mean and vicious bandit. There is little doubt as to No Name's financial intentions in the hunt, but Mortimer seems to be driven by something a bit deeper. A series of flashbacks (which would become a Leone signature device) provides the background for Colonel Mortimer's anger and desire for revenge. Morricone's score combined with Leone's trademark long and lingering shots bring the viewer ever closer to the human side of the Man with No Name. Although the film was not released in the United States until 1967, it was produced and released internationally in 1965.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseWidescreen - 2.35Audio: Dolby Digital Mono - English Dolby Digital Mono - FrenchAdditional Release Material: Trailers - 1. Stagecoach (DVD) Stagecoach (DVD) » Stagecoach (DVD)

Regarded by many as the best Western ever made, STAGECOACH shot John Wayne to stardom and elevated the prestige of a genre that had hitherto been considered a B-movie province. With rumors in the air of a possible Apache attack, a motley group of travelers in a small New Mexico town board the Overland Stage bound for Lordsburg. Among them are the pregnant Lucy Mallory (Louise Platt); timid liquor salesman Peacock (Donald Meek); Hatfield, an aloof gambler (John Carradine); Gatewood (Berton Churchill), a pompous, embezzling banker; and two who have been exiled from town, alcoholic Doc Boone (Thomas Mitchell) and Dallas (Clair Trevor), a lady of the evening. Along the trail, they pick up the Ringo Kid (John Wayne), an outlaw who's escaped from prison to take revenge on the Plummer brothers for destroying his family and framing him for murder. As their journey progresses, the hypocrisy of the supposedly respectable passengers becomes clear, and it's the tainted outsiders who display courage and humanity. Described by Orson Welles, who watched the film innumerable times before making CITIZEN KANE, as his cinematic textbook, STAGECOACH is superbly made in every respect, layering humor and sharp characterization into an exciting plot that includes a spectacularly photographed chase in Monument Valley.DVD Features:Region 1Snap CasePan& Scan - 1.33Additional Release Material: Trailers - 1. Bertie and Elizabeth (DVD) » Bertie and Elizabeth (DVD)

An all-star British cast brings this story of love and accidental royalty to life. In 1920, when a well-bred, spirited young woman named Elizabeth Bowes Lyon accepted a dance from the duke of York, she had no idea her decision would have such consequences. Second in line for the throne, Bertie was a reserved young man unlike his brother, Edward, who would soon inherit the crown. Bertie and Elizabeth fell in love, married, and had two daughters. But when Edward III gave up his throne in order to marry the woman he loved, the royal responsibilities fell on Bertie. With some hesitation, Bertie changed his name to Charles and became King Charles VI. Together, he and Queen Elizabeth helped to restore a nation wrought with the destruction of World War II. Though they never expected to become King and Queen, the couple lit up the world with their dignity and spirit. When Charles died from lung cancer in 1952, Elizabeth took the throne. Even today, the Queen Mum, who passed away in 2002 at the age of 101, is considered to be one of England's most beloved royal figures.DVD Features:Region 0Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Letterboxed Link to the Masterpiece Theater website Closed Captions Described video for the hearing impaired
