Bonanza - Under Attack (DVD)
A film based on the wildly popular family TV show of the same name, which aired for 12 years and depicted a widowed father and his three sons as they maintained and defended their ranch, BONANZA is a meaningful, dramatic Western with a message. The Ponderosa is now run by the grown offspring of the Cartwright children, who maintain the sanctity of their home and the honor and moral character of the Cartwright name. Sarah, Josh, Adam, and Benjamin have inherited the ranch and are aided in tending it by the elderly Buckshot. Frank James is an outlaw with a heart of gold on the run from evil vigilante Charley Seringo and his gang, who have a personal vendetta against him. James befriends the Cartwrights and they protect him from Seringo, wanting to avoid violence on their land at all costs, but the feud must come to a head in a final dramatic faceoff. A subplot follows Benjamin's romance with neighboring farmgirl Anny; he wants to marry her, but she wants to travel to Paris to pursue a career as a piano player.
